In mourning we endured the cards that had been dealt

We no longer opposed the deadening

Our minds riddled by adversity as time began to move out of place

It seems our efforts were worthless in the eyes of them all

Marking this the end of our plightful venture as there is no goodness left to

cling to

Lowering the flags on this once glorious day, my heart is slowing down

This long goodbye is coming to an end
