Shattered by the way I’m living

Now’s the time to decompress

I never found a place that fells like home

I spend my days on tidal waves and fits of rage just like Van Gogh

A devil’s workshop to my idle bones

It’s only what we fear inside

That keeps us from a better life

Becoming something more than who we are

Distracted by the time we spend

On what we could have, should have been

Forgetting that in fact we’re getting closer to the edge

Anxiety’s delirium, a glory-filled aquarium

Is where I swim around to catch my breath

And everyone I know has changed

The sinner, he remained the same

A city left in ruins

And I paint it to my name
