Mirror neurons show me the reason that we are all still around

To see another man’s worldview and feel it through and through

Experience their fear and maybe shed a tear

We assume and we presume and we all can generalise

And these labels some cover up our eyes

To ignore this prejudice and see all men for who they are

Is a step towards a view that will go far

We will see without a doubt

The rise and fall of social empathy

Expand the reach of your sympathy

Out to the world, despite what they all see

To empathise is to civilize

I think it’s time we de-tribalise

And live within one biosphere

Without antipathy to fear

Altruistic glue

Is what will pull us through
