Roar of a bolt drawn from its evening star

Watchful as the ground split open

Gives way to a flowery carpet imbued with blood and sap

Sacral passage from underworld to earthly

Lacquer-topped, gilled, and spotted

Soma stands on one leg

Like a drunken fawn

The flame gazer is entranced with worship

By turns vast and by turns dwarfish

Waters of gnosis pressed into cold soil

Return as seraphic piss

The disembodied rises in cultic rapture

A universal veil pierced at the foot of birch

This feverish glimpse of sublimity
