Burning the bridge at both ends

I’m drinking out of a glass half full of sweet harness

Turning the cheek with sick teeth

Sucking me dry with apathy and sorry, but I can’t hear them

White light mouth pouring with a white heat

Resembling a white moon silver surfacing a black sea, sailing only me

Burning up time with nine lives

I feel obliged to bide and rot and rule

Keeping the sun down, keeping it cool

Easy chemistry, only me

Eyes climb up and down you

With the white heat sinking in two
