Faced with darkness in our light

Success and love we lace with spite

Silver linings lining graves

Darkest clouds in brightest days

Crushed and oppressed because we fly high

The face of self loathing — a countenance with hollow eyes

Confronting doubt

I doubt your doubt in me

An empty fear they fostered

It is time to foster a fear of you

Walk like mammoth walks through walls

Each challenge met is one that falls

Ancient wisdom through eons calls

Be a giant against them all

Boot to the throat whilst giving praise

And finding clarity in haze

Choke upon the breath of love

While gasping for my war above

Beneath this cresting sea of confusion

Where the deepest breath would end my illusion

Confront myself, never again to sow my doubt in me

This fight I thought was Far From Home

Now I claim it
