Deliverance Pt. 2 - River City Extension

In my final revelation

I was waiting at the station

With a grave anticipation

Of a moment I could taste but never see

And the train, it came and left with all but me

Strange how it would change

And I was grateful to be free

We are at once on our own

Should we choose to be alone

But I don’t know if I’m coming home

Cut it loose to sit and wonder

Counting the seconds between the thunder

If it’s doubt you’re hiding under

Take a step outside and you shall be released

In a flash of that, that everybody sees

Strange how nothing changed

And how it brought you to your knees

We’re all at once unaware

Like you were never even there

You wonder for the first time if you care

What a wonderful window

What a wonderful place to be

What deliverance I’ve found

That the world is spinnin' round

Without me

Though my mind has not been made yet

Sure is time will always shape it

What’s the world as I’ve related?

Is it anything at all?

When the thrill finally passes

And you’re brave enough to ask it

Is there anything that’s lasted afterall?
