I give my soul to the sea tonight

So that my love can be saved from the dark

Dream will I be, this is a tale of light

I will give all my life for that to be all

Softly he sleeps beside me

Lost in a world of dreams

Knowing soon comes a day

When he will be forced to leave

Oh the sea is searching for something

A light in unending dark

To protect him on the way-

A prayer is not enough

So I’ll make my final journey in his name

Let him steel his heart with all that’s left of me

Nightfall will see me walking

Silently to the shore

Through the trees, branches entwining

Witness my faithful thoughts

Ashen will be the altar

Where I lay down my life
