Watching the Radio - Presto Ballet

So I ran through today, like I had somewhere to be

Ail I did was create more of a past

I’m trying very hard to keep in tune with you

But something tells me it would never last

So I just drift away from the modern day

I retreat into a place where I can hide

Somehow it makes more sense, to leave this present tense

Familiar things that melt into my mind… again

And then the music plays

I’m still watching the radio

Nothing new that I want to know

Until its time for me to go

Still the same old dream, not much change in me

The notes they still just float around my head

Connected to the world, but never say a word

Glowing faces in a sad cafe

So I just drift away, from the modern day

I retreat into a place where I can hide

And when you play with me the game of melody

The song is gonna win it everytime… and then

And still I hear the music play

And all I really want, is what no one can have

And yet what I have.

Is more than I need

Watching the radio

Its time for me to go
