A sickening path extends

Scorned

This land is ancient

My blind intrusion

Watched by wolven eyes

Warped

Tangled

Brush

Threads through the cortex

I’m caught up in the thorns

Black woods surround me

As I make my way

Drawn ever closer

The hunter’s prey

Lost in madness

To realms forlorn

Glimpse through the treeline

A semi-cervidian form

Disease of the mind

Fear from inside

Claw at the shadows unending

His gaze meeting mine

The animals eyes

Scream

As the antlers they pierce me
