I went back today to the place where I was born

Where all my memories toss like an ocean in a storm

Standing by the willow tree

Waiting for the rain to come

Something inside of me

Made me feel young

When I was still a girl in the house where I grew tall

My father said to me, it’s the oak tree that will fall

Notice how the willow tree

Is bending as the rain comes down

But notice the willow tree

Still wears a crown

I know a part of me

A flowing willow tree

Where dreams are left behind like communion in a cup

Watching as the lights went on
