Carry On - Light the Fire

We’ve cut the blooms from our roses

All we’re left with is thorns

In spite of our face we’ve cut off our noses

Set up to fail since the day we were born

So what can we do?

We must demand to be hears

Before there’s nothing left to call our own

Resistance must be futile

We’ve got nowhere so far

Refuse to accept this is all we are

I refuse to fall in line, leave the past behind

When it’s made us who we are

Embrace the truth, find the strength in you

Help each other carry on

We’ve set ourselves up for failure

We’ve siven up on the fight

We’ve forgot what we’ve learned from our fathers

Erased our history to the point we forget

Where do we go from here?

Can it be reconciled?

We can’t repeat what we’ve already done

We’ve learned nothing from the past

How long you think it will last

Before we turn and it all cames undone

We can find compassion in unlikely places

If we stand together, they cannot break us

We’re all the same, the only difference is the sound of our names

I may have not been what you’ve been through

Just know I will stand by you
