Brain like popcorn, eye shade greyer

Than the week gone by in the bush, I lie and

This ain’t Survivor, TV dreams and

Full-pelt warrior, brain on steam and

Sunlight gleams, and all seems well

But my heart reverbs like a bell

Birds take flight, quick ting, day turns to night

I’m back to the zone, alright, right?

Eyesight betrays, mind traps late

I just like my dreams time-phased

It’s like all day, they sit in there, still all sane

But we in the floods, pure shame

It’s like OK, I’m wondering, left-right brain

How to steadfast maintain

Life’s in a frame, perched up, high out of reach

And I’m an outcast on the beach
