Nuttin' for Christmas - BYU Vocal Point

I got a letter back from santa,

a reply to my honest request,

on a scale to naughty to nice he said,

you didn’t quite pass the test.

so I sent a letter up to Ms.

Clause and bathed it with my tears,

but even though I tried,

she took santa’s side,

so I’ll tell you what I’m gettin' this year,

this year, oh I’m gettin' nothing for christmas,

Mommy and Daddy are mad.

cause I aint been nothing but bad.

I went outside and shaved the cat,

somebody snitched on me.

My mom told me I can’t do that,

it’s just not right you see.

so I did just like she said, shaved our bassed hound instead.

now I’m grounded till I’m dead,

or getting to M.I.T.

no scrumdidlyumshious eggnog for me,

ahh shucks,

ohh I’m getting nothing for christmas cause I went and burned down the tree.

I put a tack on teacher’s chair in biology,

thought my grade just wasn’t fair, I deserved to be.

I’d had enough of all his rats,

filled his desk with firends.

so my parents sent me to a boarding school in france, cause somebody snitched on

me, when you are in paris zen you start to talk funny.

mommy and daddy are (our vengeance will be swift this Christmas) oh I’m gettin'

I aint been nothing but bad.

I went out with my best friends girl,

he was gone you see.

it was the best date in the world,

but somebody snitched on me,

told him she don’t kiss so good he should dump her if he could.

then he clocked me where I stood.

now I can’t see straight.

mommy and daddy are mad,

how do they know santa,

I’m getting nothing for christmas,

cause I shot a pigeon with my beebee gun,

which landed on some guy’s windshield then he swerved and knocked over a

telephone

pole wich busted open a firehidrent wich costed millons and water damage to the

sorounding

houses in the area and I spent the night in jail.
