Where travelling the void

With not a star to be seen

Deep out there in space

With no-one to help them

Not a gentle kind face

After millions of miles

Came a bright silver star

With planets and moons

All arrayed near and far

Now there’s hope for the future

A place to lay down

The son of God’s coming soon

Now the planet of fire

He would not let them land

And the planet of water

He couldn’t understand

But the green pastoral Earth

He beckoned them down

They came singing with mirth

That night they took shelter

In a Holiday Inn

And Mary in labour

Her pains did begin

And her baby was born

To the sound of the truck drivers

Blowing their horns

Far from the East

Came the Kremlin’s top brass

From the West came the President

And his aides smoking grass

From the North came the Queen

From the South came the black brothers

Ending his dream
