My trail paves a narrow road

Lit by moments that fade with each step

But before me hangs the curtain

Wreathing panic 'round my neck

Every memory reflecting a shard of sight

As the call of the past meets my present

The formless features of annihilation

Holding me to the abyss

It’s the blinding reminder

Of the time you’re erasing

We’ve figured it all out

It’s the time you’ve been wasting

And I am encased in cold and grey

But we will become luminous

When surrounded in darkness

We seek out distant lights

And the safety we presume it provides

This desire to stray is a game of the mind

A breeze rolls by you

You feel the fire beside you flicker out

Now with your world at its darkest

Darkness descends on us

You sense danger and seek a way to gain relief

Give me release

Curiously you tremble

As you push toward the warmth that pierces the uncertainty

Exchanging the reflections of who I am

A fortification, an iron will mind

Give me the strength I need to open my eyes

Within the black of the deep

Ignite a spark to show me the road

'Cause I’ve fallen asleep at the wheel

A bitter man with a heart set to heal

Give me the strength to survive

I pledge these changes on all of my life

Shadows' lifeless weight
