My god how ruined we are, alone how great is our shame.

While death climbs through our windows,

steals the blood from our veins.

The bodies will lie like refuse on the field,

cut grain behind the reaper with no one to gather them.

If the only home I hope for is the grave.

If I have no heart to set between my shoulder blades.

If I stand idle while my brothers are enslaved,
